Tantra is a way of life, a path, not a religion. Which means everyone can access the beauty it offers. At its core, tantra teaches us to engage in a sacred relationship with ourselves, with each other, and with life itself. It is not a sex technique. It is not a weekend retreat. It is not the Sting joke.

Tantra is practice. Practices that usher you into a healthy, balanced, surrendered relationship with this human experience we call life. Practices that reconnect us to the state of being alive, not just going through the motions. It teaches us to come into deep, conscious, embodied presence with what is. Including the parts of being human most of us were taught to fear or be ashamed of.

Tantra is a path to freedom, liberation, actualization. It is a way to be present with the totality of life, the contrast, the duality with a deeper appreciation for all of life. Tantra takes us beyond the "good and bad" duality and invites us to step into a regulated experience of life with less suffering and more flow.

The Tantric lens heals the shame, the pressure to perform, the dissociation, the perfectionism, the self-criticism, the fear of pleasure, the toxic relationships with intimacy and sex. And returns us back into our knowing. That we are the Divine doing life through us.

A licensed clinician doing this work. On purpose.

This is the part most tantra coach websites can't say.

I'm a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with years of trauma training, EMDR, parts work, and clinical experience. I'm also a certified tantra practitioner with training in meditation, couples work, and sacred sexuality. I'm currently completing tantra yoga teacher certification.

That combination is rare. Most tantra coaches don't have clinical training. Most clinicians won't go anywhere near this material. I bring both. That means we can do real embodied tantric work in a container that is also psychologically safe, trauma-informed, and grounded in actual professional ethics.

If you've been curious about tantra but skeptical about whether it's legitimate, or worried about safety, that's exactly why I built this part of my practice.

Who tantra coaching is for.

  • Individuals who want a deeper, more embodied relationship with their own pleasure, body, and sexuality.
  • Couples wanting to deepen intimacy beyond the physical.
  • People healing the shame, fear, or trauma they carry around sex and sexuality.
  • People who feel disconnected from their own desire and want to find their way back.
  • Anyone who has been curious about tantra and wanted a safe, professional, grounded guide.
  • People navigating identity, sensuality, and authentic expression.
  • Anyone who feels like life is blah, full of suffering, or not what they envision.
  • Those who want more, and know there's more to life, but can't seem to put their finger on it.

People interested in the dynamics of polarity. The dance between masculine and feminine energy in relationships and within yourself.

A note on scope. Tantra coaching is coaching, not therapy. No clinical diagnosis is offered through coaching sessions, and insurance reimbursement is not available. If you are working through clinically significant trauma, that may need to happen in therapy first or in parallel.

Sacred sexuality.

Let's talk about sex for a moment, because one of the most beautiful, delicious parts of Tantra is intimacy and sex. Let me say that again. Not sex. Intimacy and sex. What, where, when, how did you learn about sex? Most of us were introduced to sex in unhealthy ways. Generational patterns of unhealthy relationships with sex and sexuality.

What you'll learn is that tantric sex is the "fruit" of your walk with Tantra. Which means it also includes knowing, honoring, and healing yourself. Tapping into your energy. Knowing and honoring your partner. Tapping into their energy. Learning to co-create a safe and sacred union outside the "bedroom." Connecting to sensuality. Being intentional and creating a practice.

Focused on sacred sex and union, tantra invites us to surrender shame, fear, anxiety, performance pressure, and trauma around sex. Allowing us to truly embody pleasure and connection. For those who seek the deepest sexual experience, tantric practice teaches us to dance with the Divine during our most vulnerable, connective, pleasurable moments.

A practice rooted in presence

Tantra is not about perfection or performance. It's not a "one size fits all" plan. It's a practice that evolves as you do. It's about returning to the body, to breath, to the present moment, and allowing intimacy to emerge from that stillness. This work is held with full professional ethics, clear boundaries, and deep respect for wherever you are in your journey.

Let's work together to find the practices that support your current lifestyle and desires. From simple meditation, to movement, to mantra, to mudra. All designed to help you tap into stillness, meet yourself in that stillness, and reconnect to the energy of life moving through you. This is where you meet your authentic essence and begin to co-create a life you truly desire.

How sessions work

Tantra coaching sessions are in person in Mesa, AZ, or virtual worldwide. You can join from the comfort of your own home via a secure video link provided for each session. Sessions are typically 50 minutes, with some clients opting for longer sessions.

Sessions are comfortable, educational, and focused on desires. What do you really want and desire? Where are you stuck? What's the practice? Sessions are designed to teach you practices through guided practice (I'll do them with you. It's one of my favorite parts of the session, we practice together). Practices you can then easily continue outside of session, in between sessions. We focus on:

  • Somatic awareness. Having a more intimate, attuned relationship with your body.
  • Healing past hurts and wounds that keep you stuck in old emotional energy.
  • Embodying your essence. Reconnecting to the Truth of who you truly are. The Divine doing life through you.
  • Sex and sexuality. Shedding the old programs that keep you stuck, disconnected from your body, and missing the pleasure, intimacy, and connection waiting to meet you in this experience.

Nothing physical happens between us. This is coaching, held with the same ethics and boundaries as any clinical work.

FAQ

What is Tantra coaching?

Coaching that uses a Tantric lens. Tantra is a way of seeing, doing, and being with this life. It's practices we use daily to help us move into a healthier relationship with ourselves, others, and life. It's a path that helps us free ourselves from suffering and move into joy, surrender, authenticity, and a state of being fully alive in a grounded, rooted, excited way. It's done alone or in couples.

Is this the same as sex therapy?

No. Sex therapy is a clinical treatment for specific sexual dysfunction. Tantra coaching is an embodied growth practice rooted in spiritual and somatic tradition. The two can complement each other but they are different.

What happens in a session?

We talk. We figure out why you're not enjoying yourSelf, your relationships, your life. We sit and listen to the body. It tells us things. We figure out what the brain is telling us and why. We process. We explore. We laugh. We practice. Somatic connection, meditation, breath, somatic movement.

Is Tantra religious?

No. Tantra has roots in spiritual tradition, but it is not a religion. People of any faith (or none) can practice it. We focus on the practical, embodied, relational dimensions.

Can this help my relationship?

Absolutely. Many couples explore Tantra to deepen their emotional, spiritual, and sexual connection. Tantric practices can help us create a bond, a union, a partnership that's quite different than what we're taught in our society. These relationships are sacred, connective, and incredibly special. If your relationship is in active crisis, couples therapy may be a better starting point. We can talk it through.

How do online sessions work?

Sessions are held over secure video. You'll need a quiet, private space and a stable internet connection. Couples can join together from one location.

Is this legitimate?

Tantra is based on ancient practices and principles. Yes, it's legitimate. I am a licensed clinical social worker, a trauma-trained therapist, and a certified Tantra practitioner. This work is held with full professional ethics, including clear scope, boundaries, and informed consent.

Do I need to have a partner?

No. Many of my Tantra clients come in solo to do their own work. They're on a journey of reclaiming their authentic essence and creating a life they truly love. Couples work is offered too, but partnership is not a requirement.

I was skeptical. I'd read enough bad things about the tantra world to be nervous, but Alicia is a licensed therapist first, and you can feel that in the container she holds. The work was grounded, boundaried, and more transformative than I expected.
