My name is Alicia Wright and I am honored that you are exploring the possibility of us working together! My “work” is my passion; I deeply believe it is one of the main reasons why I am here. My journey, maybe like yours, has had some tough seasons, some really tough tough seasons. I’ve always walked with an existential connection calling me to seek answers and truth. I’ve always known there is more than what we see (perception) or what we tell ourselves (stories)- reality is not always reality. With reflection, contemplation, meditation and altered states of consciousness I’ve been able to explore the Wild Within me- the wounds we avoid, to reconnect to the Wild Within Me- the essence of me- my soul! I hope you allow me to walk with you as you explore the Wild Within you- the pain, the wounding, the trauma, so that you can reconnect to The Wild Within YOU- your authentic essence. You see the Wild can be both unlivable space and the divine natural, and often those 2 co exist.
I started my journey into the world of Mental Health at Mesa Community College, after which I transferred to ASU to continue studying psychology and development. After graduating with my undergrad I took a couple years off to work in residential lock down with at risk youth, on a hospital mental health unit with kids, and at a residential eating disorder facility with adolescent girls. After those experiences my path took me to the Air Force to continue my journey in mental health. During my time I certified as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor and worked in the world of substance use and addiction. After a tour in Turkey and having my 1st baby I separated from the Air Force and finished a Masters in Human Services with an emphasis in Crisis Counseling and Trauma, and then another in Social Work.
After some twists and turns in my journey, I moved to back to AZ! I started interning and then working for a private practice and a residential, inpatient, trauma center. And after several years in private practice my journey led me to Tantra and coaching. And here I am, navigating The Wild Within, and I would love to walk with you as you navigate this season of your journey!
